Donation Update - 7/25
It's now been a little over 2 months since I registered and received my first donation. Since then, I've been very encouraged by all your generosity and enthusiasm for this cause. 52 supporters have joined the cause to reach a total of $9555 in donations! That takes me to about 55% of the target $17,500, and with 2 more months to go, I'm hoping I can keep this pace going and reach my goal.
Welcome to my Blog...
Thanks for taking interest in this undertaking! I want to use this blog as a way to keep friends, family, coworkers & other supporters up-to-date on the journey to the journey. I'll be writing posts on my training debacles, fundraising progress, and the details of the bike ride along the Silk Road as well as the Trans-Siberian railroad trip I'll be taking in the second leg of the trip.
Here's how I've set up shop:

Extending Accenture's Journey of Hope
This September, I will be joining approximately 30 fellow riders from across the globe as part of Accenture’s Greater China Charity Biking event to raise money for underprivileged children in China. This is the 4th annual Charity Biking event, and this year things are going global with the theme of Extending Accenture’s Journey of Hope, and that means getting riders and donations from across the globe. I accepted the challenge to train for the 200+ mile distance along the Silk Road, and, enthusiastically took up arms as the North American spokesperson for this great cause. So now I am not only asking for donations on my behalf, but on behalf of North America as well! By donating today, you will be showing desperately needy children in China that North America cares.
